What is CHIRPSTR?

CHIRPSTR lets your friends and family record short voice messages ("chirps") that play back to you at chosen miles during a run, race, walk, or hike. That way you always have your people with you, even when you're running solo.

Do I need an account?

Yes. An account lets you save your chirps, playlists, and race history, and keeps everything synced across your devices. You can sign up with an email and password, or continue with Apple or Google.

How long are my chirps stored?

On the Free plan, chirps are stored for 30 days from the date they're recorded, then permanently deleted. On Pro, chirps are stored for 1 year. You'll see an expiration warning 7 days before any chirp is scheduled for deletion, and you can always download a chirp to your device before then. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I delete my CHIRPSTR account?

You can permanently delete your CHIRPSTR account and data directly from the app, with no need to contact support:

  1. Open the CHIRPSTR app and make sure you're signed in.
  2. Tap your profile icon (top of the Home screen) to open your profile.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete account."
  4. Confirm by tapping "Delete my account" on the warning that appears.

What gets deleted: your account, profile information, all recorded chirps, playlists, and race data are permanently deleted. This action cannot be undone. Any remaining backend records are fully removed within 30 days of your request.

Prefer not to use the app, or can't sign in? Email support@chirpstr.app from your account's email address and we'll process the deletion for you.

How do I delete individual chirps?

You don't need to delete your whole account to remove specific chirps. You can delete them one at a time, right from the app:

  1. Open the CHIRPSTR app and go to the Chirps tab.
  2. Swipe left on any chirp in your list.
  3. Tap the red "Delete" action that appears.
  4. Confirm on the "Delete Chirp" prompt. This cannot be undone.

What gets deleted: the audio recording and its label/metadata are permanently removed from our servers immediately. Nothing else on your account is affected, including your profile, other chirps, playlists, and race data.

Note: even without manual deletion, chirps expire automatically. That's 30 days after recording on the Free plan, or 1 year on Pro. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Does CHIRPSTR work on Android and iPhone?

CHIRPSTR is available now on the App Store for iPhone. Android is coming soon, and your account will work across both once it launches.
